I had the privilege of photographing the Memorial Service and Reception of Burton Sobel, M.D. last month, one of the most powerful and influential cardiologists and scientists of our time.
Doctor Sobel passed away in May and the University of Vermont hosted a Memorial Service and Reception in October celebrating his life and honoring his legacy at the Ira Allen Chapel and Billings Library. You can read more about his remarkable life and legacy in this Forbes article here.
It was truly an honor to be asked to document the celebration of such an extraordinary man.
This summer I had a fantastic time shooting for Vermont Vows at the Basin Harbor Club in Vergennes, VT. The color palette shoot will be appearing in their upcoming Spring/Summer magazine due out in a couple of weeks. And you can check out some of my behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot here that Vermont Vows published on their blog.
Lesley and Benjamin had a perfect wedding at the Inn at Baldwin Creek in Bristol, VT, on September 21, 2013. This is such a dream location for a wedding on the cusp of summer and fall. The leaves were showing the beginning signs of change. The ceremony was outside next to the woods and the river, and Lesley and Benj stood under a rustic birch altar wrapped in ribbon and twine lace. The reception was in the Red Barn and there were so many unique locations for wedding photos on these beautiful grounds. My favorite photo moment was when her bridesmaids tried their best to capture an apathetic bridemaids portrait but couldn’t keep a straight face (see below). Luckily, these grounds are not just limited to weddings–Mary’s Restaurant at the Inn at Baldwin Creek can be visited year-round for a fabulous farm dinner. Congratulations Lesley and Benj, it was an amazing day! I’m so glad I got to capture it!
